2.5lb Double Diagonal Peen Hammer
Hand forged 2.5lb double cross peen hammer. This hammer is a piece of functional art. forged as a “second” to a special order I had. Both hammers turned out well and this one is now for sale. Double cross peen hammer add ergonomics to forging on the anvil by offsetting the handle by 45 degrees, and the double cross peen gives twice the options! This hammer is made from 1045 steel and is fully heat treated. Hammer faces have a satin finish. The beautiful handle is made from hand selected premium grade two tone hickory. The handle shape is modeled after a vintage octagonal coke bottle handle I have in my shop, and measures 14” long. The handle is finished with tung oil and a couple of coats of paste wax. A sample tin of paste wax included in each order. Thank you!
